1. D Spot

D Spot came to the Ottawa scene in November 2023 and has become a staple for many. Open till midnight on weekdays and till 2 am on weekends, it has quickly become the go-to spot for those craving a delicious late-night bite! Their menu ranges from desserts and drinks to pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, and poutine to make sure there is something for everyone. The Kanata location has a great team that continues to deliver quality food without breaking the bank and its family-friendly atmosphere makes it the perfect place to hang out and enjoy a meal.

2. Sultan Ahmet

Sultan Ahmet initially became famous from their locations in the GTA and this spring, they have finally opened up a new location in the Glebe area of Ottawa! Whether you are on a budget or spending the afternoon browsing through the mall when you suddenly get hungry, the mall food court is a great place to find an affordable, quick, and delicious meal. Ottawa is home to many malls including Bayshore Mall, Rideau Mall, Place D’Orleans, St.Laurent Mall and more! This blog post will focus on sharing with you halal hidden mall gems across the various malls in town.

1. Teriyaki Experience

Location: Bayshore Mall Food Court

Craving Japanese food? Teriyaki Experience brings you a taste of Japan without breaking the bank. Their menu includes items such as bento boxes, teriyaki dishes, ramen soup, and tempura. They also have rice and various types of noodles such as yakisoba and udon noodles. This location features halal chicken and beef so make sure to ask upon arrival to enjoy their menu options!

2. Osmow’s Shawarma

Location: Bayshore Mall Food Court

Osmow’s Shawarma brings you shawarma with an Egyptian cuisine twist. Osmow’s has been in the Ottawa market with its stand-alone restaurants for many years now. However, the Bayshore Mall location brings you the first Osmows location inside of a food court without compromising on quality and taste. Dal Moro in Bayshore’s food court brings you 6 different types of freshly made pasta and over 10 sauces to choose from. 4. Poulet Rouge

However, Poulet Rouge changes that by bringing you healthy chicken bowls featuring your choice of either rice, quinoa, or burgol; topped with up to 7 fresh toppings of your own choice. Their menu aims to provide you with a healthy, affordable, and easily accessible meal and all their chicken is halal.

5. Bourbon St.Grill

Location: Rideau Mall Food Court

Bourbon offers all types of Chinese fast foods including udon noodles, fried rice, shanghai noodles, sweet chilli chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and so much more! And with Rideau Mall conveniently located in downtown, it’s a great place to grab a quick meal to-go. Note: there are various Bourbon St.Grills located in malls across Ottawa but the Rideau Mall location is the only one offering halal chicken.

6. Marcello's

Location: St.Laurent Mall Food Court

Marcello’s has something for everyone. With their full halal menu, they have options from burgers, pizzas, poutine, sandwiches, pasta, and more! Whatever your fast-food craving may be, Marcello’s will have you covered.
